Talking about the Mandarin, we went to the MO bar last night... extremely disappointed. They've gone all trendy and lost out on the customer service aspect.... would have never expected the Mandarin to sacrifice on looking after customers...

I suspect it is a part of the newer trendy image .. "we're so hip we can wait 15 minutes for our drinks, and yes, you can get them wrong, we're too hip to complain and no problems take another 10 minutes to replace them".

I want my Captains bar with the senior citizen bartenders, single malts and cigars back!

Isn't that what the Chinnery's for?

By the way, whoever said that Bulldogs has the best Pub Grub has got to be kidding... tasteless burgers, "thai" salads drenched in vinegar, and generally dire. The old Dublin Jack was much better. But so too is Delaneys, or pretty much anywhere else!

Indian: I tried Jojo's Mess Club in Wan Chai yesterday and I was very impressed. Same with Greenlands for our dinner 2 months ago.

Pizza: I like the choice of toppings at Wildfire; kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, feta...

American: TGI Friday's, Outback Steakhouse, Shooters in Times Square...why is there no Chili's in HK!!!

Korean: Myung-ga in World Trade Centre, CWB

Havn't been here that long, but liked "Brown" (Happy Valley), Nice patio at the back.

And bored wives of the captains of industry who are passed away in their suites... Yeah, the MO bar does not compare.

Sorry Sylvesterjay, but I think the Outback Steakhouse in HK is terrible! I have yet to find a decent reasonably priced steak house in HK where the meat isn't seared to the point of oblivion (and this is after I've stressed that I like my steaks rare!).

But I would agree with you on Shooters and Myung-ga though. Shooters also has good buffalo wings, and the kalbi and kimchi chige at Myung-ga are to die for. hmm.....hungry now....

Have you tried La Pampa's Argentinian Steak House in SOHO? I felt they did a good job with the steak.
