Average holiday time per year

Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if you could help out by answering some of my questions. I'm in discussions about my contract for my up and coming job in HK and have been told I "will recieve benefits, medical and vacation in accordance with the requirements and regulations for doing busines in HK" Can anyone clarify these for me?

Thanks

well dear, that could be anything... I can´t speak for anyone else, but my medical covers about 750HKD/day for hospital 15k for treatment and a few hundred thousand for anything serious.

regarding the holidays I got 12 + national. Don´t know if it´s good or not since I´m a workoholic
Here is btw the list of general holidays for 2006:

The range on holidays is roughly 10 - 25 days plus General Holidays (or in a few cases only the Statutory holidays).

Medical varies widely - I have full anything, anywhere cover up to US$5M a year, but others have much less. As a HKID holder you have access to the public system here (which apparently isn't bad as public systems go) for a nominal charge.
