| Average holiday time per year Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if you could help out by answering some of my questions. I'm in discussions about my contract for my up and coming job in HK and have been told I "will recieve benefits, medical and vacation in accordance with the requirements and regulations for doing busines in HK" Can anyone clarify these for me? Thanks |

| The range on holidays is roughly 10 - 25 days plus General Holidays (or in a few cases only the Statutory holidays). Medical varies widely - I have full anything, anywhere cover up to US$5M a year, but others have much less. As a HKID holder you have access to the public system here (which apparently isn't bad as public systems go) for a nominal charge. |
