Is there an explanation why HK is one of the last to see the new Harry Potter flick? Even the mainland gets to see it before us (and thats sayin a lot!)

Normally international movies get released pretty fast here, when compared to Europe of Japan, but with Harry Potter its the other way around. Strange.

Not that I'd know, of course, but it's already widely-available online...

For what it's worth, the Weasley boys' hair is even sillier, they've obviously gone out of their way to make Hermione look plain until her butterfly moment, and I thought the whole thing felt a bit rushed, like they were trying to make the bits between the big set-pieces go as fast as possible to leave more time for the special-effects. Apart from that, pretty good.

Actually its pirated well before it releases in Hong Kong.

Could it be because of the dubbing / sub titles?

yea, I was kind of peeved that we were the last ones to get it.

All of my US friends have already seen it and I'm sitting here having to wait until Friday to go and see it.

So vmlinuz, since you didn't watch HP IV on-line, I assume you joined the locals in a Sri Lankan cinema and watched in amusement while the crowd jeered during every action scene and whistled during the few romantic episodes. Did you have popcorn and drinks thrown on you or does it only happen if one sits in the lower levels iso the balcony?
