Any Dutch people?

Hi there!

Is there any dutch people here? My dutch bf will visit HK in the coming months. I only know one dutch restaurant here and we had dinner there once. Is there anywhere else that there may have more dutch people? I'd like to make him feel at home here.

Thanks a lot.

Does that count for me too that I used to live in NL for 2 years as a student. At least I speak decent Dutch and understand the language good enough. I have not discover any Dutch restaurant around except one in LKF. Good luck for your searching!

Hi Lynx,...

Please don't kill the boy with the "world famous" Dutch cusine,...its not more then french fries (patat) with loads of Mayonaise !!!
For the rest i think that indeed Orange tree is a either Dutch or Belgian restuarant. Walked by there last week and the had "stampot",...which is VERY Dutch.
,.. I understand that you want to make him feel home,..but he will need some time.... As Amsterdam is our "biggest" city in Holland and its a village compared to any big capital in Europe,..its a very !! small village compared to HK.

But feel free to PM my with any question you have,.....I'm Dutch.

Perhaps we should arrange a Dutch cocktail night. Not expecting too many people to show up, but always nice to exchange thoughts and experiences. According to statistics 70% of all Dutch people here in HK are from Chinese origin.

Yeah, my hometown Amstedam is really small. I remember the city being proud of the so called 'huge' X-mas tree at the Dam square. If walking around the shopping malls you are to find in HK, the Dutch 'huge' has to be turned into a small potato.

PM if wanting to meet up!!!

Cheers,

Freddy
