Lightbulb Teen entreprises (teens starting a business)

Hi,

I've always wanted to start my own business but I never know where to start?! I mean, law might be one problem, but another problem is that I am quite young. However, I do believe I've got the business brain that goes along with it having started my own successful small business during my time in Scotland.

I'm just wondering what businesses I could do, or where I could get help/support to start my business or any other advice would be appreiciated.

I've thought about entering the jewellery industry and I do also have a good idea for a confectionary but I have no clue about business laws. My ideas are great according to many people I've spoken to but I just need to get it practical. I could use other ideas or some help, so anybody willing to help please reply!

When you say entering the jewellery business, in what capacity? Making and selling them? If so then can't you sell at school fetes or things like that? or even ebay?

If its the making and selling of them, then theres the possibility of offering them for sale to some of your small clothing and accessory shops and doing it wholesale.

First of all, there are legal issues with age and your ability to sign contracts. If it involves money and liability (i.e. something could go wrong and hurt someone, causing you to be put in a position where you could be sued or arrested) then the business should be owned and operated by someone of contract signing age.
