German pubs in Hong Kong

South China Morning Post ( Sunday post magazine - Food & Drink section ) carries my feature today on German pubs in Hong Kong.

You can also check out a better version online
http://www.arghasen.com/Beer/New%20S...day%20Post.htm

Many of you will find some stuff on a familiar LKF hangout where I believe much of the blueprint of this website was drawn

I quite like 'Biergarten' on Hanoi Road in TST.
They do quite nice food and beer, and I know it's pretty authentic (I lived in Germany for 6 months).
Quite near my office, so if anybody facies a pint or food after work let me know.

of what? Schnurrbarts (that's what the OP of 3 yrs back must have been alluding to)? Unless it's moved since then, it would be up on what I call Jugular St, LKF. Sorry, D'Aguilar St - near Al's Diner.

Schnurbart is also in TST. - on Humphrey Road i think its called, small cozy, but good.

Weinstube is on the road where HMV is on in TST, also near Addidas if i remember correctly, around there anyway, its an upstairs restaurant, lol im sorry im hopeless with street names. They have some Swiss dishes too, the food is quite authentic.

And i agree, Biergarten in TST is a good place to go.

Weinstube is on Ashley Road (diagonally opposite of Gaylord Indian).

I have to admit (no offense please) that I don't like it at all even my friends say it's much better than Biergarten.

Biergarten is on Hanoi street, there's the new MTR exit (whichever letter) just in front.

I much prefer Biergarten though I always eat the same, thouroughly tested stuff

Bitpoint in LKF seems much less quality in terms of food, though, you might go for a beer that's fine.

Now Weinstube isn't a pub and its quiet. And, well, in there they all seem to be english

Tom

PS: Not to mention that HMV has moved
