Medi+saving insurance

Does anyone know a good medi+saving insurance company?(for expat in HK). I would like to go to the clinic without paying anything (by just showing the insurace card). Also, I can choose any private hospitals without restrictions. As my friend bought an insurance policy which restricted him to go assigned hospitals.

I have been searching on the internet but most of them that you need to pay HK30 for each clinic visit etc.

We used to have a group plan that allowed us to have a zero deductible. To be honest, its not worth it unless you have a kid or someone who falls sick a lot.

Better to spend the money you save on the premiums and buy some vitamins.

Check out the goodhealth coverage ( they've got a button ad on the top ). William Russell, Bupa and a wide range of other plans work... depending on your situation, budget.

As KIA says (more or less), on average in the long run you must expect to spend more on insurance premiums than you get back out. Otherwise the insurance companies would go bust.

So unless you have good reason for believing you can beat the odds then it seems to me that the only reason to buy insurance (of almost any type) is to cover you against the events that are unlikely to happen to you, but which if they did would cost more than you could afford.

For this reason my medical insurance (which is from William Russell, but bought through a broker which KIA will not allow to be mentioned on this site) has something like a HK$15,000 excess on it.
