incommunicado

Yes Ace and HKf thanks to you our illustrious administrator has been moved to close the El Loco thread
I have not been near any of the various dens of inequity alluded to as yours truly has been incommunicado these past few days and even had to forgo the pleasures of the Railway Tavern which he was looking forward to. But no matter the the ides of October beckon

inanticipation

[u]An opening ode[u]

The horse and mule live twenty years

Never tasting wines or beers

The sheep and goat at seven die

Without the aid of scotch or rye

The cow drinks water by the ton

And at eighteen is mostly done

The dog at fifteen cashes in

Without the aid of rum or gin

The cat in milk and water floats

And at twelve short years she ups and croaks

The silver modest bone dry hen

Lays eggs for kicks and dies at ten

All animals are strictly dry

They sinless live and swiftly die

But sinful, gin-full, rum-soaked man

Survives for three score years and ten

Some of us though mighty few

Stay pickled till we're ninety-two
