Electronics Design

Hi all,

Was wondering whether anyone is doing work in this field in HK.
Seems that most positions are Project Engineer or Sales Engineer.

vtech, idt do a fair amount of design work here from what I gather. A surprising find (for me) was Wowwee Toys.. super cool stuff.

Start look at sources like the TDC to get a list of HK based companies.

Hi KnowItAll,

Thanks for the info... will do a Google search on all those you mentioned.

Planning a 2 weeks break in HK next month, if I start applying now maybe I could get an interview although chances are slim... ( fingers crossed )

Unhappy

Hmm... so far no luck. Sigh... Was trying jobs listed on the Jobsdb website. Anybody has any advice?

Out of curiousity, how many of you guys actually got a job by applying from oversea and not in HK itself?

I quite like the JobsDB site - although I hate how their system only works in IE.

I've applied for jobs in HK from overseas and it was very quiet. HR are usually quite reluctant to ring overseas. As for the job market now - well pretty slow at the moment.

Hey there...

Yeah, I like the website too. I guess if you're local, there's a lot of listings and good opportunities.

Actually, I provided a HK mobile no. Got that no from my previous trip... I guess the main reason is still that I'm not in HK and requires a work permit...

I've been applying on and off since I graduated... I have two and a half years of working experience now...lol getting kinda restless.
