The grim side of HK. If only there was a music scene...

Talking

There is a music scene!! hahahahhahahaha

World Battle of the Bands finals is going to be held in Hong Kong on 26 November!!! Six winners from six countries compete for world title!!! See: http://worldbattleofthebands.com
The HK winners Qiu Hong are fantastic to watch live (they also played on the main stage at Rockit on Saturday)

Underground 16 is happening on 24 November - 4 bands ranging from down-tempo to emo to female nu-metallers!!
http://undergroundhk.com

Read your HK magazine and your BC magazine to find out more.
Pick up this months' edition of "Robot" (a free magazine).

And we've just had 2 days at Victoria Park with Rockit 2005 where some of you probably saw Feeder (who were excellent!) and Saturday night was also the NOFX night.

The most surprising thing at Rockit was people saying "Hey which country is this band from?" (they were asking about SIQ) and I said Hong Kong! And everyone single one of them couldn't believe a local band could be so amazing to watch and listen to.
psst...Underground had SIQ perform in October...

I think if people stopped waiting for 'famous overseas acts' to appear and gave the local bands in HK a chance, they would be amazed at how many GOOD bands there are out there and how many shows there are to attend!
