| | Actors/Writers in HK/NT Hi
I'm new to HK and would love to touch base with any actors or writers in Hong Kong. Looking at working in the film or theatre industry here and while trying to do some research, know very little about film production or actors/artistes agencies. They seem difficult to locate.
Anyone can help me out?
Would love to get more information.
Thanks in advance. | |

| | | sorry no one replied to your query. i'm in technical writing and fiction, so not sure how to lend a helping hand. seems to be little work in the field out here, but i may be out of the loop myself.

| | | Hi Alexis,
I'm an actor, and I'm moving to HK next week.
I have a booklet of HK Film Industry contacts which may be useful to you. Though no theatrical contacts. I believe there are a couple of English language theatre groups out, which I will seek out.
What's your background? Are you an actor too, or do you write? Maybe we could hook up and work on something once I'm there?
Feel free to PM me, if you don't want to reply in public.
Good Luck! | |

| | | PM KIA and see if has a contact for Pete Spurrier who contributes a few articles to this site- he wrote, directed and acted in his own film shot here calles Exit/Strategy- it was pretty good. He's a well connected person in the area. | |

| | | I seem to have dropped in just at the right time. I've lived in Hong Kong for several years, but haven't had the opportunity to get back into theater in all that time. I'm also interested in any information that might come across the board on this....
In my case, I would much prefer to find some community therater or acting coursed to play with because its been so long. Lots of rust.

| | I'm into acting as well, more community based than professional, but still.
I know there's at least two english theatre groups in HK, HK Players ( www.hongkongplayers.com) and American Community Theatre ( http://acthk.tk). I think both groups only do about two shows a year however, so there's not a whole lot of opportunity there...
