I'm writing an article for publication now on the drug scene in Hong Kong vs. other cities. I want to get some background on how prevalent drug use is here.

If anyone can, either give your opinions here, or PM me ... basically, is drug use high? Is it more coke/narcotics, pot, pills, designer drugs like x? later I'll be trying to do some first hand interviews, but right now I am just scratching at the surface. I really appreciate any insight I can get.

why don't you do a ‘google scholar’ search, it will give you relevant 'credible' journal articles, you may have to pay for some of them but they will probably contain useful empirical data...

Or do a few google searches on 'drug name' in Mongkok or TST and you'll find some (rather old) Government / Independend reports that have been done already.
