OK, this is a bit embarassing to ask, but I imagine many women like myself are trying to answer this question. Where can I find a good (preferebly female) gynocologist in HK? Also, since I've already embarrased myself with the 1st question, I may as well ask if anyone has good experience with any fertility clinics in HK. Would really appreciate any input.

i believe lucy lord is supp to be the best around and the most expensive as well.I know she has her own clinic with the whole set up somewhere in wanchai so maybe u can look that up..

Hope that list helps a bit Nina.

I'm just became prgenant, and have been seeing Dr. Lucy Lord.
I've also heard she's a wonderful doctor...no doubt there...however, her disposition is is very "matter-of -fact". She rarely smiles, does'nt spend time getting to know her patients or converse in the slightest. Dare I say, no personality.

I was a little sad actually after I left her clinic. I was having my fist ultrasound (which was very exciting to me & hubby at least) but her blah attitude kinda overshadowed what should have been an exciting moment.
My husband noticed that too...& most guys would'nt something like that.

I don't need some super chipper Obgyn, but a smile & a "How are you doing Mrs. B" go a long way. She's just not that way. Although her staff were super friendly.

So I'll be looking for another Obgyn. I'm leaning towards Dr. Sally Ferguson as I heard she's good too...& in the same bldg.

There are two OB/GYNs that I would definitely not recommend. Fortunately, they were not mentioned in the above list.

Their initials are A.W. and E.L.

Also, my advice to any new pregnant mother is to ask her doctor about the delivery and post-delivery, in-hospital fees (natural delivery and C-section) in advance. Ask specifically if your doctor bases his/her charges on what level of hospital accomodation you choose. If so, why?

Our doctor's post-delivery in-hospital fees (for visiting less than 5 minutes per day) came as a complete shock since they were only vaguely mentioned in the fee schedule. Don't assume it is the same as the regular check up fees. IIRC, ours was a 8 times more.
