vibra train

does anyone know if you can vibra train in HK? Its an excercise thing where you stand on a vibrating platform and it helps tone you up and lose weight.

at the risk of offending...

isn't that a rehash of the old 60's theory where they put that huge rubberised vibrating belt around the belly to try to "shake" the fat into mobilising? it was all the rage for about a decade b4 they realised it was just a theory that didn't seem to work, but was a good marketing angle...

i think the best result was near psychadelic views of the room around u as u vibrated so hard, which is probably the only reason this fad lasted a decade

*runs for cover*

Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
Instead of the platform, try the rails. You'll lose weight a lot quicker in every area.

i heard wrapping yourself in cling film and sitting with the aircon off for a bit is a sure-fire way of shedding a few pounds...

alternatively you could always go to the gym!!!

Wouldn't the easiest way be to just stop eating?

And cut out the guiness. Drink spirits instead, much better for the waistline - and stumbling around LKF in the 30degree heat will help you keep fit and drop a few pounds...

only problem is the weight you'd lose would be due to dehydration...

Don't knock it till you try it. Its actually really hard to do and totally exhausting but quite cool at the same time. You do do about 10 -15 exercise each one for just a minute and at the end you are stuffed and feel like you have just done and hour in the gym.

me not knocking... well, i'm trying not too

in seriousness, can u explain what it really is? if it is just something that vibrates, i don't get it. if it is something u stand on and u need to maintain balance or something whilst exercising, that a bit different... as that would need exercise and core strength... but just vibrations has no proven basis, as far as i know, which is why the "fad" died out.

Guinness has about 1/4 the energy content of beer. so u can drink 4 times as much without the guilt factor. BTW, i read that the GI of beer is higher than glucose. sort of explains pub brawls at closing time - all these pissed peeps going thru a glycaemic trough - all cranky, doubly so cos the pub is closing...
