I used Allied Pickfords to ship a bunch of stuff back in 2000. Good price and excellent service. Check with them regarding the different levels of service they offer, we got a major discount because we used and packed our own boxes.

Shipping took about 5 weeks.

Well, I used Allied last year and got the worst service ever- My beautiful commode got crushed to bits, was not reimboursed because they refused responsability ('accident' happened with transit agent)- So basically, all is well with Allied until there is a problem.
I've been moving for the last ten years, currently in Paris- My next move to Russia will be done with AGS.

Moving on the cheap

Why don't you DIY it instead of using a removals company? If the company is paying please disregard !!

The shipping lines are crying out for cargo to backship into Asia so rates are very cheap.
As long as you dont mind packing into the container ( remember it isnt coming to you at ground level but at lorry hieght ) and you can work out the volume needed ( 14 tonne lorry load ( 28 m3 ) = 20ft , Large Artic ( 59m3 ) = 40ft ), then this way is very economical.
The shipping agents that you book with arrange all the export paperwork and their local office will arrange import clearance and delivery ( timed to your requirement ).
This way you can control how things are handled on and off. You will even know what ship it arrives on and on what day so you can prepare things in advance if you need rent a mob. They even arrange full insurance.

Removals companies often use LCL ( part container loads shipped with other cargo that has to be handballed on and off ) so thats why they can blame third parties. Yours would be customs sealed .
I would be glad to recommend but wont post it here for fear of being accused of advertising. However ask and I would recommend people who we work closely with and offer a worldwide service.

I moved with Links Relocations, they were really good- personal service. With Allied and some of the others I just felt like a number. No need to claim any insurance so can't really say about that.

We used John Mason (offices in both London and Liverpool I think) - and they were handled through Santa Fe at this end, the local expert in relocation ...very very good service everything was virtually bubble wrapped, so no damage and the delivery/unpack service in HK was brillliant.

The hard part was making the inventory for the insurance cover before anything was packed.. a tedious day's activity.

I used Nippon express, they were the best price, compared to the other shippers quotation. their deliver was slow, which was no problem and worked perfectly for me,
they all wrapped our things with bubble plastic, no broken things. If you need quick delivery, obviously the cost would be higher, otherwise the others shippers mentioned are quick.
