Lasik eye surgery in HK

I've done a search on this forum, but all the info seems to be quite a few years old. Does anyone have experience doing the LASIK eye surgery here in HK? Any advice on good/bad places to go? How about the cost? I really want the surgery in the next few months, but I am still on the fence about whether to get it done here in HK, or wait a while and get it done back home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also doing research into Lasik. I now know several people who have had it done in HK.

Seems the Sanatorium in Happy Valley is a very popular choice.

My friends say it has cost them about HK$22,000 at the Sanatorium for the surgery with 5 years of check ups.

I've seen a few people comment on Sanatorium. Any contact details for that place? How about a reputable doctor to talk to/request. Also, $22,000 seems a bit pricey, no? I'm not looking to get the cheapest deal (my eyes are worth it, after all) but it seems that older posts on this site mention that other places do it in the 11,000-15,000 range. Any thoughts? How about the English ability of local doctors here? I'm sure I will want to ask a lot of questions to reassure myself before taking the plunge. Are they able to convey everything in a manner that is acceptable?

I did my laser surgery last year with Dr Pian Yip
Rm 1212-13, Argyle Centre Phase I, 688, Nathan Road, Mongkok, Kowloon.
Tel: 27212888

She speaks good english and is a very nice and competent doctor. She used to practise in the public eye hospital for many years so she's very experienced. I think her prices are around the 13k-15k range as well, I can't remember now.

PS: I had great results after surgery but of course, I hope I stay healthy and don't need to go back to her.

Has anyone had any experience with QualityHealthcare Lasik - they were recommended to me and I have an appointment on Saturday for an examination to have the treatment on the following Monday.

I have -8.0 and -8.5 so the benefits for me would be enormous but I am still nervous and obviously only want the best for my eyes. Welcome any advice, warnings or recommendations of other clinics.
