Marriage

Hi,
I'm 21yo and tourist in Hong Kong. I'm French born Asian and would like to marry to a Hong Kong local girl.
Would it be easy to marry ? What will be the obstacles as we are both very young.
Would it be easy to apply for a HKID then ?
Do her parents will know about the marriage ?
Do I have to prove the immagration that I really love her ? (I'm not very rich). Will I have to show them our pictures during our holidays ?
Once holding the HKID, would it be easy for me to find a job here ?
Thanks for your help !

Yes, as long as she says yes.

If you don't know the obstacles now you obviously haven't seriously thought about marriage.

I think so.

Not necessarily. But I'm sure they'd like to go to the wedding!

Since when was money related to love?

Why do you think this? It sounds so absurd...

Well, it will be easier to get a job because you have an HKID, but it does not guarantee one.

Suiko.

Marraige is a very big thing in life. But it can be very hard, and there may be plenty of obstacles involved especially being young (i would suggest to grow up abit), and i dun think her parents need to know (why would they, youre only going to be their son in law), show immigration some snapshots from the peak.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Gatts will become famous soon enough
Suiko,

I don't think it would be wise to marry a local girl, just for her HKID. Try looking for a job which requires French language skills maybe.

Also, on the basis of your website, it would seem you are gay (not that there's anything wrong with that), but that doesn't really convince me you love this girl; and would marry her only for her ID, which still does not give you the guarantee of a (good or any) job.

Based on what you said, I think either you are playing with 53 cards in your deck of cards or you are desperate. Don't get married for the wrong reason. Just a piece of honest advice from Goodman.

Salut Suiko! Surprised to hear a french guy like you wanna marry so young! To answer your questions:
1. Easy to marry. Depending how you wanna to do it.
2. Of course, her parents should know esp. she is their daughter. Chinese culture is different, monsieur!
3. Yes, you do went you need to apply for documents since you are a foreigner. You can check it out with Registra of Marriage.
4. HKID..no problem searching for job as long as you applied. What is your qualification?

Advised:
1. Don't get married simply for the visa.
2. Are you sure this is the only way to spend time with your girl?
3. Better get to know HK culture and local chinese culture before marrying a local girl and having culture shock.

Bon chance!
