Question Chinese Breakfast Healthy Eating??

Ok guys, i've eaten one too many of those little yellow egg tarts and pastries for Breakfast and need to know what people eat for a healthy breakfast in HK besides fruit?

Maybe someone can recommend some websites?

Guess you can tell that i'm living without any female influence at the moment!

how abt cereals? there is a wide selection at city super. or muesli bar. or wheat bread. or yoghurt. i don't find the breakfast hongkies eat healthy. and i haven't come across any healthy stalls. for lunch, i came across the MIX. it also displays the calorie count of the food they serve (sandwiches, wraps, fruity ice blended, low fat spaghetti, etc) hence healthy?!

breakfast of champions

I never thought of I would wax lyrical on breakfast
But today wasjust one of those days

2 large chilled oranges quartered and sprinkled with grapefruit seed extract and freshly cracked pepper.

2 mugs of freshly roasted, and ground organic coffee from the Orissa hills.

A poppy seed bagel with a schmear and lemon curd and a lashing of cracked pepper.

All done at home in under twenty minutes and for under twenty bucks.

How about cook yourself quick breakfast with grilled tomato (very healthy), egg and may be one smal slice of bacon! You can cook sauteed mushroom on the weekend, which you could use for the beginning days of the week! YumMMMM

I usually eat congee or bread with jam for breakfast. It's the most health

My daily: oatmeal with fresh fruit - quick and easy. Get the plain and put honey in it to save on calories, sugar, and artificial flavors. Or high fiber cereal, skim milk, and a banana. And always, green tea. : ) If I dont have time I find most places offer multi-grain muffins.

You're not going to find any healthy Chinese breakfast outside that's for sure ...unless you count the fruit vendors.

Best to make your own bfast. Cereals, yoghurt, scrambled eggs on toast with a side of bacon, grilled tomatoes and round that off with fresh fruit.

If you really have time, pancakes, waffles ...and don't forget to send out invitations so we can come over and help you polish them off!

But seriously, the variety of fresh fruit here is pretty amazing. You can make a whole meal with them and if you add a bowl of cereal, that's a really healthy breakfast for the champions.
