My boyfriend is looking for a shop that sells custom made men's shoes. Anyone knows? I know there are a lot of shops for women but I haven't seen any for men.

J. M. Weston in IFC? But if they do, it must be like a million dollars a pair. I think there's also an equally expensive similar store in Prince Building but on the street level. For cheap local shoes, you should check out the mall across the old Daimaru in Causeway Bay.

They should be able to do it in that store I was talking about. I don't know the name but it's near the escalator (not the elevator or stairs). They have some really cool men's boots I think. The mall's name in Cantonese is "Tong Lo Wan Dei Dai".

2000 is cheap. how long does it take? do they draw an outline of your feet and get you to go back multiple times or do they ask you to come back once after a few months? do they take into consideration flat feet?

Just to come back on a couple of questions re my posting.... I think the place is called Mayers.....

I had a pair of size 12/12.5 made (UK). HKD2000 and I know someone else went in there and was also told it was just HKD2000 a pair. Mine were made in just over a week. I went in for a fitting about three days after my first fitting (yes they draw the outline on a piece of paper) and then picked up the final shoes in about a week.

I think you just have to give these places a try and see if there is anything you like.
