| Or buy a DVD player that plays DivX files. The cheapest one I found in Fortress was an LG one at $590. Then you could stick all the Lost .avi files on one DVD and watch it on your TV. Couldn't be easier! |

| Most DVD players will not be able to read .avi files. Also .avi files are huge. You need to compress them to a VCD, SVCD, DVD or Divx format before burning to DVD. |

| Easiest way is to look on the front panel of the actual unit - if you're in the shop - as there will be a DivX and/or Xvid logo on there, next to the usual mp3, dolby, etc logos. However, it could be worth investing a bit of money in the unit, and to make sure it is firmware upgradeable. I had a Pioneer DV-380S before I moved to HK - it would play just about anything (only files I couldn't make work were Matroska packs), and only cost me about £70 in the UK. |
