I have been using my US blackberry since coming out here with the T-Mobile International Roaming service since last November. Its only an extra 20 bucks on top of the 20 buck fee for the blackberry. It works like a charm and i can still receive US calls if necessary. Sure you have to carry an extra phone but you get used to it. And you dont have to give up the US #.

That seems like the best way to go if you have the ability to set up an account in US. I had two guys from Smartone in my office yesterday. The best deal they can come up with is 100 USD per month per user for unlimited roaming in China.

I told them they should go and sign up a bunch of accounts here in HK and bring them to me, and I would set up T-mobile accounts for them and we would split the profits. He didn't really understand.

T-Mobile Blackberry used in HK

Hello jrlevin,

I live in HK and I travel a lot to Europe, USA, and China.
I heard about T-Mobile's Unlimited International Email Plan and I was trying to get a friend in the US to sign up for me.

But he was told by a guy from T-Mobile to check if HK has GPRS service. He said the GPRS is needed to get the Blackberry email. Also, I should check if the HK Service providers will charge for using their GPRS services. In short, it's possible that if I use T-Mobile's Unlimited International Email, the HK service provider might charge for GPRS use and I will have to pay for roaming fees.

Are you still using T-Mobile's Unlimited International Email in HK and you only have to pay USD 19.99?

Please advise.

Thank you!
