Has anyone ever stayed at the Bauhinia? Please let me have your thoughts on its pros and cons...

Why dont you arrange to have a look at it? If you get a room on a lower floor, I think that it is quite noisy (its in between 2 main roads.

FYI : If it says that the room is xx sq ft, this will include the communial hallway in that figure.

Hi there,
We are currently staying at Bauhinia now. We have a 2 bedroom on the 14th floor and it has been great as we have had friends come to stay twice and there is enough room for everyone.

PROs: Spacious, staff are friendly, cheap washing service, daily maid service, balcony and sea views, gymnasium, everything works, really convenient location right next to Sheung Wan station, 10 min walk to IFC1 (where hubby works). Staff never hassle you about anything, only pay rent no deposit required (very rare in HK)

CONS: Pretty noisy, but after one night we found the traffic noise kind of humms you to sleep, decor is all yellow and cream (not me at all!!), yuou can hear helicopters landing.

For value for money and if it is only a short rental I'd say go for it. The staff were a billion times nicer than at Erba (we still don't have our deposit back from them one month later). It's quite spacious and terribly convenient.

The price ranges - for lower levels I think it's approx $18,000 pcm to $26,000 pcm higher up - those prices are for two bedrooms. They seem to book out pretty quickly, I think we were lucky at the time to get something. I am pretty certain they also have one bedroom places that are a bit cheaper.
