| Shangri La Rasa Ria is awesome. I think it is heaps better than the other one, although I only visited that whicle we were picking up guests to see the probiscus monkeys (a must see tour if you like that sort of stuff).
Amazing food, a garden that is almost eden like and the best staff and service I have ever encountered globally.
The water at the beach is a little cloudy, but being able to go to the rainforest next door to see the Orang-u-tans as many times as you like/going to water villages, seafood restaurants etc more than makes up for it. Horseriding on the beach is pretty cool too.
They do really fantastic packages normally, although I imagine are pricier at Christmas. It is probably worth it though, I really think it is up there in terms of being the best place to stay.
