That is what my Mercedes is. I purchsed for comfort and sporty-ness, not for the pure drive. After all, clients appreciate being taken around in a nice car, but it has to be comfortable for passengers too.
C | I just use the F1 - all auto option. Paddle shifting is too much work

build quality and reliability on all tvr's are shocking, numerous stories of them going back to the garage to get fixed even after a few weeks old.
Spending 40K on a car that works some of the time is not character.
Not including 20 year old brake technology on powerful road cars is definately not character. It's downright dangerous.

| | | Ahhhhh the age old TVR vs the world debate.........You will only come to the same conclusion that so many bar arguments have, and that is you buy TVR with your heart, not with your head.
I personally dont like TVRs. How come Peter Wheeler sold up? All that cobblers about keeping it British then selling to the Rouskies. Does ANYONE understand the logic behind their model line up? I hate the design of the Sagaris (not exactly from the purist school of design). It is laughable they get away with 300+bhp cars with no airbags and abs.
Having said that I do understand their appeal. They are jaw dropping wild, sound like nothing else and probably come with the most interesting paint finishes I have ever seen. As a second (or third) car they make sense.

I love the tuscan and will continue to love it, but I do see some points here.

my friend | Yes, you make some valid points. However, my main question here was about 6sp vs. Auto, I have no clue how this thread turned into my car preferences haha
It's good to hear other views.
P.S. I found some good Maseratis in HK already, very excited

Its the same thing with driving rental/courtesy cars, thrash the hell out of it and if it breaks down its not your problem, you know the saying
'drive it like you stole it'
I've been in a tvr but couldn't stay in it for long enough to drive it as I hated the stench of glue. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 02:47 PM. | Partners |
