Been to Vong myself.. it's nice atmosphere.. but can be pretty expensive and kind of crowded in my own opinion

Levi - thats definitely the way forward - just go with the moment. My other half ended up proposing in a builder's shed surrounded by cement in the rain but it was perfect!

Beach idea - A friend of mine was proposed to on a beach in Thailand. Her boyfriend put the ring in a little jar and chucked it on the sand as they were taking a walk. He then "accidently" spotted the jar and asked my friend to go take a look. My friend took her time and the bf was dead scared that the jar would be washed away by the waves before she got to it!! Beware!

**Good Luck**

Totts is good too, great views, but also pretty pricy. Doesn't feel like a hotle resturant - just happens to be in a hotel.

What about TOTT's - top floor of the Excelsoir Hotel - great food, quiet ambiance but it is a hotel restaurant.

What about eating somewhere and then popping the question on the star ferry?

I think that I would be freaking out too...especially if I had just spent a fortune on a ring and didn't know if it would be washed out to sea or not.

I didn't even get a chance to do it how and where and when I wanted. She wanted it to be over before I could even ask.

I took a plane to go get her back. I brought the ring and my hopes and dreams with me. She said no to all of them.

She's gone. And with her, a good part of my heart.

From Coldplay...

"When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
could it be worse?

High up above or down below
when you're too in love to let it go
but if you never try you'll never know
Just what your worth"

Oh Levi! You poor chook. I really hope you are OK - as cliche as it is, usually these painful incidents turn out to be blessings in disguise....keep your chin up.

Sorry to hear that mate, but as Confucius once said:It is better to lose a lover than love a loser.

He also said Men screw with dicks; women screw with minds but I'm not sure if that's applicable.

Surround yourself with friends who'll support you and it will soon be in the past.

Life takes us on different paths...and many obstacles will come in ur way...don't take it too negatively..take it as a sign that there is something, someone better for you out there.. who will appreciate ur thoughtfulness and good qualities!
Keep ur chin up!
