Question wedding reception

Hi, I am coming to Hong Kong on the 21st October 2003 to get married on the 25th. Flights accomodation etc are all organised, what is a little problematic is the wedding reception. Does anybody know of a reasonable venue for a reception for about 50 people of mixed nationalities (mainly Chinese)?

Most of the hotels will arrange for something in your budget. Can be a western style buffet dinner / reception or a chinese style banquet.

The private clubs (Marina Club, Country Club, Football Club etc) will also put together a good deal for you if you tell them what your budget is.

The average price per head is HK$400-500 and you usually get HK$400-500 per person back in the lai-see packet (assuming the people who you've invited are fairly in tune with HK protocols)...

Thanks for the reply . We will investigate that, thank you. We have found a couple of options, I think its the Marco Polo is offering buffet and room for hk$268 per head. Another interesting option is a harbour cruise for US$50 (group discount) per head

I QUOTE 'All the passenger get picked up from their hotels for the transfer to the pier. You board the "Hong Kong Bauhinia" for an unforgettable dinner cruise on the Victoria Harbour. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served on board. Entertainment from a live band. Live and dance for two hours before we bring you back to the hotel.

* All above is Join-In Tour with English Speaking Guide, rate is per person '

We are also looking at the Emperor Hotel in Happy Valley, this may have a large song murdering room that we can use

by the way here the web address for the harbour cruise if you shud require it
