Shippers UK to Hong Kong

I am moving to HK in a few weeks and have to move some belongings from UK, probably by ship. Not huge amount of stuff, mainly CD's, clothes and quite a few bottles of wine.

Can anybody recommmend a good shipper from UK to Hong Kong and what are the chances of getting about 40 bottles of reasonable wine (about 30 UKL /bottle) in free of any duty ?

thanks

Shipping

Did you ever get an answer to shipping in the wine? We'll be moving in January and I hadn't thought of bringing our wine ... but that could be a good idea!

Shipping Wine

My Girlfriend just moved to Hong Kong and put a single bottle of wine in a suitcase that she shipped from Paris. Customs found it and fined her HK$290.

Interesting. I thought anyone (local or visitors) is allowed at least one bottle of wine...

A single bottle is well within your allowance.

Shipping Wine

You are if you're travelling with the goods but this was a shipment and so i don't think it applies otherwise I'll be sending lots of single bottles of wine in the post!

I would be interested to know what the customs charges are for legitimately shipping wine.
