Is entry to nightclubs in HK strict?

Hi people,

I heard some people were refused entry to some nightclubs in LKF. They also said the security guards were not nice outside the entrance. How was it like really?? Did they refuse only because of the too casual dress code or something else??

Do you think if it's even more difficult to enter this weekend 29th Oct.? I don't want to ruin my night out with friends.

Thanks!

It shouldn't be difficult at all. A fair few should be dressed up, so I don't think so.

it really depends on the club.

Sugar, Hei Hei, Dragon-i are pretty strict on dress code/who gets in. Nobody is mean, but they will turn you away if 1) they are full or 2) there are other "members" that are waiting to get in.

Most of the other places are easy to get into unless you aren't dressed nicely. Just no shorts, no flip-flops or collar-less/sleeveless shirts for the guys. Pretty much anything but flip-flops go for the girls.

Also, flirting with the bouncers (if you are a girl, or a guy with a lot of girls, or a guy with a really hot girl) usually will get you in too

Expatriate has pissed of a few people
One thing I like about HK are the thousands of places where you can go at night.

If someone wants you to beg and plead for the opportunity to leave your money there, you can always go somewhere else.

Sugar, Hei Hei and Volar always have their "members only" policy so it's really hard to get in unless you know someone who'll help or the bouncers are feeling nice :P Anyway make sure you're not wearing "slippers" because they're really strict about that. Dragon-i aren't as strict, they don't seem to mind flip flops and they do let in ppl easier I find. But for pretty much anywhere, it's a lot easier when you're a girl or with a bunch of girls.

most clubs are strict but if you know someone who works there or you look the "part" then they will let you in without any probs..i fall under the former category..
