saw rent on xmas day and it's actually good fun really! no idea who karen was (still no idea who she is now) but thought she put in an adequate performance (actually really warmed to her towards the end!) lots of yous think she's the weakest link in terms of vocal but I found her performance was most real and emotionally charged (especially when Mimi's becoming weak)...all around good entertainment, rent, i reckon

I feel that Karen is NOT the weakest link of the show.... I feel that its Andy Senior who is the weakest link of the show, but overall it's very strong anyway! And Jeremy's voice has definitely faded.... his voice use to sound like Adam Pascal's!!!!! BUt he's still aewsome! but Karen does show a VERY weak side of Mimi.... I saw a video of the understudy Dominique Roy as Mimi and I RAELLY wanna see her live now!!!!!!!

to me, the best player is maureen. i mean i like Angel too, but maureen is the show stealer

i have another question, anybody knows whether west side story will be played ih Hk this year ( 2006)
last year, after Mamma mia inHK, they played it in Spore for like 2 months
on 2005, Rent was staged in october in spore, then later on in HK.
i had the schedule that west side story will be staged in Spore this upcoming april. so there might be wwest side story in HK.
anybody knows? i would love to see it if possible
there will be a lot of dancing for sure.

i duno about West Side Story, but i DID get an email from Really Useful Group a yr ago sayin that Phantom, Bombay Dreams, Tell Me On A Sunday, Evita will be coming to Hong Kong. And I got news from a friend who is in The Producers in Australia (cuz it use to be Australian companies who come to HK) that it wont tour to Asia, instead it will be the English company tourin Asia after they close. But I think if productions ARE coming from Australia, it will prob be Lion King/We Will Rock You.... but I m not keen on the idea of juke box musicals ~
