Hi Rani,

How often do these dinners happen ?
My wife and I (God how stuck up does that sound?) will be out in HK around March/April next year. I am currently in La Manga in Spain where its hot and sunny

We did Spanish a couple of months ago - Rico's in SoHo.

To be honest, I've had better, but then I'm picky, and I'm used to fish on the Costa del Sol :-)

Hola a todos,

I'm a spanish guy living in HK and I promise you won't find here the same food you are eating right now. Spanish restaurants in HK are good, but the ingredients are different. Not 100% spanish.

So, I think you should enjoy your spanish meals such as Mediterranean Sea... enjoy jamón serrano, paella, cocido and spanish bread (actually, you'll miss it; trust me, I know what I'm talking about)

But Hong Kong is a wonderful place... and local food isn't worse, just different.

By the way Rani, Spanish restaurant on November 8th?

Hola David!!

Spanish food here is different. I think I also heard that the Spanish supermarket closed down. We went to Spanish a few months ago, very different from what you're used to.

Don't all Spanish men know how to make a good paella? Can you cook?

Hi Rani,

Actually yes, I can cook. My best is Tortilla de patatas (Spanish omelette). I can cook paella but that's not easy, my father is expert in cooking it.

This is because in some areas inside the Peninsula, every sunday is the paella day. People used to have one flat in the big city (where they live) and a detached house in a close village. Then, on sundays, all the family go to that house and the father cooks a paella... so, until I have my own family I can't cook a good paella
