I have told many ppl about my situation. My parents both werent born in HK but took up residency for over 15 years in HK. I was born in Canada and want to obtain a HK ID card. I have talked to Emigra they say i cannot get one due to my parents took residency in Canada. But what about the ppl that has duel citizenship? I called immigration they dont even know and its up to the immigration director. Anyone in my situation that wants to share?

thanks for the help. Well i dont know what to do now. Both parents were permanant residence in HK before and i cant get one. The link is broken if im born in Canada? Well the only thing i can do is wait until my wife finish her school then i can get a dependant visa.

I know someone who was born in HK and emigrated to the UK where he married and had kids. Both his kids have right to land in HK.
