Chicken

Is it just me or is the chicken you get here really tough and chewy? In the UK, chicken is soft to eat, but here it isnt. I usually get mine from the supermarkets.

It is when bought from the local supermarkets or the wet markets.

If you want good quality try buying from CituSuper or some of the other more up-market supermarkets. I just tried some from Oliver's in Prince's building last week and it was nice and soft. Bloody expensive though !

I think it was dutch.

We noticed this too! Park n Shop sell chicken from other countries - had some from Brazil the other day which was better. Think they do aussie and US imports too - all at slightly higher prices naturally.
