Ok -- WAP is out of question -- WML is a pain in the rear to work with. We're going to support a super thin version of the forums for low res browsers.

How do you monetise it. We will not have enough real estate on the screen.

What resolutions do your WAP / Mobile browsers support?

Great Idea. Would even be nice to have a automated DL program like the ones for Compuserve back in the early 90's.

I currenty use a Treo 650 but will move to the 700 Win CE version in Jan when it is released.

My Xphone supports 176 x 220 and does it best to fit the pages in. I voted yes.

Oups sorry for thet Kia I have no idea what the issues are ha ha, I guess I just meant to say I use a mobile phone browser .
It's just that I use my mobile phone browser to check yahoo, thought would be cool if could browse the page on that browser too.
Monetise, real estate, resolution.... no idea.

Great idea. I voted for Windows mobile although I currently use a sony ericsson W800. The Opera Mini (java) browser works a treat on this - although this thread is a bit tricky ro read due to the adverts and sheer volume of info accompanying each post (header etc). If this was streamlined it would be very useable.

I think a LOT of people will start using Opera Mini when it goes public (assuming they don't charge for it). Its pretty incredible for a 95kb download!

Doesn't Opera Mini use a server to handle your page requests? So is encryption enabled between you and that server?

DB - yes the pages are pre-rendered on a server (in Norway) and no the connection between phone and server is not secure. There are restrictions on using it with secure sites (e.g. HTTPS) but its good for general browsing. I'll check whether it supports basic login to GeoExpat as I didn't try that earlier...
