great choice... fujitsu was one of the pioneers in lcd displays back in the day, so graphics/ display will be top notch. The rest of the computer is user friendly and very capable as well.

One of my clients bought a whole bunch of them 2 1/2 years ago and they're still going strong.

went and checked them out in the wanchai computer centre the other day..... some of them are really nice, crisp TFT views...very light but they can be a bit pricey though!

love Fujitsu. They're the only ones I use (aside from work ones) after acquiring my first Lifebook in 1997. Great performance, lightweight, crisp screen, peripherals built-in. Only downside would be that the battery does get a bit too hot on my LifebookS model. Battery life is ok - on par with my work IBM.

We're big fans of toshiba and sony laptops.

Used toshibas for well over a decade and have owned luggables, portables and their desktop capable P25s.

Yeh I have a toshiba currently. I am upgrading mine to their qosimio range. Not the cheapest, but they incorporate lots and lots of features and the build quality.

Fujitsu on their own made damn good notebooks, lots of specs and very reliable and solid machines.

Not sure about now since they've merged their PC operations with Siemens. I'd do a thorough check before making my decision.

@ninactao... a friend of mine was saying that it can get really hot (i.e.) the base of the laptop after using them for awhile... so may not be that great to on work for a long time

@ nutta - please do share info....

standard stuff - pentium m processor, dvd writer, 60-80GB space, 512 RAM min, to be able to do all standard word stuff, write papers, download music, watch movies, not into gaming.
a friend of mine has one from the S series... for a year now... she loves it and thats what got me onto it actually... i like the look and feel of it - budget about 12,000 HKD.

others are telling me to look into sony and toshiba and not be so caught up on fujitsu cos it is pricey

am all confused now
