Hey tech wizards, I need some help with my laptop.

Ive just started playing some games on my lap and am having problems with the directions keys .... the problem I have is that while the basic direction keys work fine (up, down, left, right), it does not work if I try up-left, up-right etc. The games work fine on a desktop where there is a numpad which gives a separate key to control each direction.

I know the easy way out is to buy a joystick .... which I will do if noone has an answer to this !

W
A S D

Can you go into game options and re-define the buttons?

What happens when you press up-left or up-right? does it not respond at all?

That is in the game's setting. Just like in counter-strike beta before (ages ago), you cant go diagonal even if you press up and right keys at the same time. So you need to change some settings in the game to allow that feature.
