Do the commies control the internet in HK too? I was just wondering if the Chinese government censors the internet in Hong Kong like they do on the mainland, e.g. blogs and so forth. I've heard horror stories about the government imprisoning people for saying subversive or "undesirable" things. I know HK is somewhat autonomous from China but you can never be too sure.

RLiu35, Yes, if you can find an anonymous proxy to use. Sites listing such proxies include: http://www.publicproxyservers.com and http://www.stayinvisible.com but they may themselves be blocked within China so best to get the IP addresses of some proxies just before you leave civilisation and hope that at least one of them is accessible when you are in the mainland.

No it's not blocked here in HK. I was over at the TST pier last week browsing the Torture Methods by the Chinese Government to people who preach Falun Dafa in the mainland. Out of curiosity, I went to the site and it worked. So I guess it's not blocked.

type 'falun gong', 'freedom' or 'taiwan in dependence' into google and see if you get results. if you do that means it's not blocked.
