I don't know how many gamer fans are in on this site, but know there's a lot in hongkong

So, I've read a lot about the Xbox360, but I haven't found any info yet on some important issues for importers like some of us might be.

As you might know, the xbox360 is going to be region blocked and combined with xbox live this could be a problem for us.


1. What is going to be sold on the streets of Hongkong? What region will they offer in , for ex, the Golden Arcade in HK since the USA version comes out first?!

Maybe they will import firstly from the USA just to be early and to satisfy those early adapters and people like me who hate to wait

It is not unlikely that they will later switch over consoles and games from Japan since you are going to get better speed on xbox live if you live in hongkong + the japanese one is going to be cheaper.

Where does it leave the ones who buy an American one?


2. In 2006 the xbox360 will be officially launched in hongkong. So, eum. Is this going to be a different region? Or same region like Japan games??


3. Will the xbox360 have a multilanguage menu? If I get the japanese version, I'd prefer to see some English of course

I'm sure someone will crack the code issue right away here. Better to get Jap version (if it has Eng option) rather than US as it has crap voltage. Better to wait closer to launch for better info.

Someone will have worked out how to chip it by the time it hits the shelves im sure...

More to the point, when is it going to hit the shelves and who is going to be up for some xbox live action? Having had to leave me xbox in blighty is thirsty for some action - though not till after xmas cause of deadlines etc

Only solution to all your problems--- be a PC Gamer! All the cracks imaginable are there on the internet! You just need to know where and how to find them.

BTW - any suggestions for someone who has a Japanese version of PSP2 but wants to play other region games?

Can't you just take the PS2 to a games centre like 188 Wanchai Road and get it modded?

Yep just take the PS2 to 188 or shamshuipo for example, and they'll put a chip in it so it can play all games and dvds.
Just insist to look at the guy doing it so they don't swap your laser lense, after that no warranty, and don't count on the shop 1 month warranty with the chip.
But honestly, it's worth it

Yes... even if i never had a PS2. Go and have it modified.
