| The 360's are in Toy's R' Us for HKD3199.00. Jap version. I would assume they probably are cheaper in places such as SSP. As for those thinking of getting a cheap PS2. I would go for a Xbox over PS2 because if you mod both the xbox and PS2, the xbox can do a whole lot more than the PS2. Check out this site www.xbox-scene.com and go to the forums. An xbox can become your home media center. Using software called XBMC (Xbox Media Center) not available comercially, you can store mp3's, movies, MTV videos, photos on the xbox hard disc. You can even upgrade the standard 10GB hard disc to something a bit more spacious (I have 160GB). Using XBMC, you can even stream movies, mp3 or photos from your networked PC and watch your real media, divx files or any type of video format on your tele. Even the 360 media capabilities does not compare to XBMC (microsoft took the idea from XBMC and included their version in the 360). You can find emulators for the xbox and play your old favourite consoles such as the snes, mega drive, mane, nes, game gear, GBA and even spectrum, amiga and others. For those that like online gameing, xbox has Kai (www.teamxlink.co.uk) for those that don't have the cash to go on xbox LIVE. Kai is a free service and is what I use. Not many people know about this in Hong Kong so I normally play against US people. The only draw back of Kai is that your games need to have system link in order to play them over the internet. There are about 100 titles that can be played over Kai. If you play on Kai, best get yourself a mic as it's part of the experience of online gaming. Some poeple have even installed Linux on their xboxs and used then as servers. Also, playing games from the HD wont wear out your laser and you don't have to go looking for cd's. When I hear of people that have the PS2, I have never heard of many playing online or doing anything other than playing games on their console. If your staying legit, the 99% of xbox games are in english (check the back of the box before buying) whereas I would guess 99% of the PS2 are in Japanese only. Legit xbox games are also cheaper than the ps2 ones. And performance wise, the xbox has twice the power of the ps2. Need I say more? |

| Oh, for the gamers on this site, you can check out upcoming releases for any system including the 360, release dates and game reviews before purchase games at the local stores at: gamespot.com and ign.com. I would personally wait for the Hong Kong version of the 360 or even wait till the PS3 comes out before deciding. |

| They are only going after the xbox sellers that mod them and supply pirate games. Selling the Mod chips with legal linux bioses are ok. You can install Linux on the xbox and turn it into a sever for less than the price of a computer. You only break the law when you install an ileagal bios. Playing backups of originals you own I think is leagal as to keep your originals scratch free. |

| fanboy in the house! twice the power of a ps2? now you sound like Sony's CEO when he made the ps3 seem like a new Cray mainframe. lots of shops have english versions of ps2 games, especially the big ones. however, xbox does have more of a selection here in HK, not sure why. |

| Hong Kong loves the Playstation man. I love the Playstations simply because of the variety of games and because of GTA  and other Rockstar games. |
