Kind of off-topic, but is it wise to buy a ps2 now, since the ps3 is coming out sometime in US in 2006? Or even the Xbox 360 that all you guys are talking about.

Kinda deprived from games; just wondering if I should get a ps2 and if so, wheres the cheapest place?

shouldn't matter if you're only buying a few games locally. you could pay a little extra and get yourself a chipped one, will play all games then.

one of the games i'm looking for isn't available in HK, it only came out in korean/jap version and said it wasnt able to be played unless its modified ps2, or us version, so thats why im wondering.

ok...received my XBOX360 Japan version.
PGR3 US version really is NOT all coded. so do not buy this!
wait for Japan version in Jan 2006.

another note!!
do not purchase any products from EA Japan!
because the games would only be in Japanese (including conversation)
there is no option to switch the language!!

I bought Need For Speed Most Wanted and the Blonde lady (and other game character **real people) speak Japanese only!!
and the blooding menu is in Japanese only..
I searched the Option and there is no selection of Multi-lanuage option, what-so-ever.
I am selling this game now, as I have no freaking idea what they are speaking in the story...(really TURNS ME OFF)
**the game looks very good, but very poor frame rate (15fps)

another game like EA Sport FIFA06 Japan version.
it is also in Japanese, except the soccer players' name! sigh!!....

lol...wow, that doesnt sound so good. i think i'll wait till there are more games out and it's locally available for cheap before i pick up an xbox 360...

I bought the ALL CODE game "Condemned"

it is a mix of CSI + Bio Hazard!!
very realistic graphic (very good effect)
you are detective investigating a serial killer case, but the homeless in the quiet side of town went crazy and keep attacking you....
**your only way to see things is using a flashlight (while your other hand holds weapons)
**you have tools to investigate crime scene, a cell phone to connect to other agents.
**most important, the fighting is very smart AI, they have fake moves, or trick you to get in a dead corner before they attack you.

good game!
