Vix is on a distinguished road
It's my third day of not smoking so far...it hasn't been too bad so far, although there are still moments went I want to kill someone....on the bright said I'm a teacher so this means I can yell at the kids more to get rid of my tension!!
This weekend will be the testing time though, going out for some drinks without a trusty pack of ciggies is gonna be tough!

Basic logic and exercise did it for me. I was up to a pack a day when I lived in London. Got to San Francisco started exercising and lost the urge. I've even 'tried' to smoke and found it completely nasty...

Fight the ugly corporate habit. If you're going to smoke, you should at least get something in return...

Smoking lights or ultra's make no difference.

I am a smoker and I was naive enough to thing that if you smoke lighter ciggies you are not as bad but read the little pieces of papers they have with the fags in HK. It's the chemicals that kill you !.

Btw, I am a smoker and try quitting every year cold turkey and last anything from 2 weeks to 10months but it is that "one fag" that does it when you are out having drinks.

I am promising myself that this Christmas when on holiday with the family, I am going to quit, if only for my kid.

I would like to hear more from people who have tried the hypnotist route.

Got to run.....for a fag.

4th day..feeling a bit of the good ol' urge now.
So im gonna clean the house and keep myself busy.
The "no smoke" sectionsi created at home worked well also.
But the words of Katanga has a sertian familiarity to me, hmm actually that exacly what i did the few times i tried to quit before..that one smoke in the bar.
Well im not gonna smoke it this time!

Man, don't have that one because you are on that slippery path again.

I will be with you from mid-Dec.

I know from past experience that once you are over the 5-10 day limit it is all a mind game.

i smoked for 5 yrs and had to quit one day as i felt that my team is also following me when ever i went out to smoke in Malaysia Office..

Then one day i said quit it and told my team that no going out to smoke and that they can during lunch or break time. It not only reduced few smokes but also made few to realise and quit. Now i smoke occasionally one or two when i have some drinks, but try to control the urge... I feel good if i can resist that urge...
