| besides hypnosis, the most effective way of quitting smoking is to see a physician and pay about $200 and have them scope your lungs with a fiber optic camera. After you see what kind of sh*t is inside you, you'll never want to smoke again. My nurse friend suggested this to me... worked perfectly! |

| Well thanks everyone for the support. Day 1 is over, and I kinda wanna kill something. It's driving me nuts, almost want to stand in a smoky bar just to get that second hand smoke. |

| IMO you need to set yourself realistic targets to achieve. I use to smoke for 10 years (quit in 1st Jan 05). Originally i stopped for a week, then once that was over stop for another week. Weeks turned to months. Now i;ve been smoke free for 10 months now. No point saying "i want to quit" instead you wanna say "let me stop for a week" But i tell you it took a lot of will power too!
