Hello All,

I've been in HK for almost 3 months now from Canada. I was born here in HK but moved to Canada at a very young age. Therefore my Cantonese is quite horrible and people are quite frustrated by me since they except me to speak their language fluently. I am trying and learning.
I am having a hard time meeting other people since it's mainly locals where I am living. I just recently started reading these messages on this website. Anyone interested in hiking or sports (volleyball & basketball)? Also, would love to join the next social event to meet new people.

I know how you feel, I'm 33 and even though I've been in HK numerous times etc I still don't really know anybody.

There are many great Salsa places in HK, all on HK Island so if you dare to come to the other side, I can show you where to shake your booties...

I am still wondering if I should come over to your "dark side" but will probably do so as the Octoberfest is a draw to any German everywhere anytime. In case u r in for a beer (or better several ones), bring your Dirndl and let me know.
