Some schools which might be worth looking into is Chinese International and American International. They have a good system.

You could also try Abundant Life Christian School in Fanling. It follows the US system using the ACE curriculum. Phone Mr Dale Durant on 2639 2453.

However, you should be aware that UK system schools will allow students to leave school with internationally recognised qualifications of a higher standard than that provided by most US schools. These allow access into UK or European universities, which are generally of a higher standard (in terms of degree curriculum) and take less time to complete than North American ones.

You should contact the school as soon as possible. In Hong Kong, it is very hard to get into the international schools. Getting into a perfect or ideal school needs longer time than you sell your house. That was my experience. We are still lucky. My daughter is in American international school HKIS and my son is in ESF school called West Island International School just opposite Repulse Bay. It is easier for older kids to get into HKIS. My son who supposed to go to 6th in USA and now he is in 7th. grade. He is fine in school. He is learning two foreign languages in school. I like British curriculum. All the Kids learn drama, cooking, textile, technology, music, besides English, math and science. The important thing is that you have to contact the schools and put your kids on the waiting list. as u said, west island is ESF not an IS..

anyway, chinese international school is a really gd IS that's worth looking into, excellent facilities + curriculum
also the island schools are quite gd as well... also, the german swiss IS is quite a gd one
