I know how you feel dude. It's kinda weird meeting people in HK, especially when you leave your former social network. But cheer up!! if you or anybody is interested I am always looking for new drinking buddies or cures for insomnia.

If you feel the overwhelming urge to hang out with the "BBC / ABC / CBC / XBC" crowd ...

Somehow I can speculate that there is a huge amount of sitting around and whinging about locals that goes on in groups like that.

Walk into any pub and half the people in there will be brit... (not that I've ever understood why you'd want to just hang out with people from your own country... )

anyone go out on weeknights? I'm here in HK for about 10 days... mostly spending the mornings and afternoons with family, but then I get terribly bored by evening and would feel like having some drinks... but have no-one to drink with! so... anyone wanna get into some mischief with a Canadian?

Most foreigners, and prob expats, are American, then Canadian then its the european nations....
