Need help. Is there anywhere I can get a sofa reupholstered here in HK?

Have you tried the stores on Queen Rd East? I think they upholster.

Thanks Rani for the suggestion. I have not in fact tried there as it is always a hassle as they are not willing to get up to the NT and I definitely do not want to pay as much as a new sofa

I know what you mean. I got a quote for $5K to reupholster our sofa. If you're in NT you can try going to SZ. There's a store on the 3/F that is supposed to be excellent for sofa covers. They give you a pic on how to meausre your sofa, and the cost is 50% less than Wanchai. They also have a great selection of fabric.

I do know about Shenzhen but I want to reupholster as I do have sofa covers that I paid a lot for from a place in the US that guarantees a perfect fit. Of course, no such thing. Hence SZ will mean the same old story at a cheaper and possibly more stressful price (the bargaining there is a real pain). I will, nevertheless, try when I make my way across the border again. Let me know if you remember the shop number.
