dependent vs student visa

My spouse may be transferred to HK next year by his company. While there, I'd like to take classes in acupressure and acupuncture. Can I do this on a dependent visa or do I need a student visa? Also, does the company need to apply for the visa for me or do I do this independently? Off topic, but any recommendations on where to take these classes?
