I'm confused now - first I thought you wanted to be left alone with your business associates from 6 to 7 then have others join until 8-30, no you say you're leaving at 7-30.

For once I could probably make a prompt getaway and be there for a swift one or two by about 6-15. Would that be interrupting your "business"?

Including the old guy in the loo who'd rake in a dollar tip from each patron? Can't remember his face, though!

(Stayed 11 months at the 'E' just after Tnmn Sq events - v. interesting period in HK history - but could do Dickens only 4-5 times as free time was limited and usually outside normal leisure hours on that systems implementation mission. And on Saturday evenings the 'Godown' at HH at Admiralty right down from work used to be a great distraction and meeting place!)

Holy Moly Ash here on Sunday!

There is something seriously wrong when a thread started about 3 hours before the event, has the WRONG Joint [edited by the moderator-I have never considered Thurdays to be midweek] and has express instructions in the 1st post NOT to post to the thread, should garner 16 replies and over 300 views.
Paul Ace HK fella Goodfood, your philosphical musings on the thread would have been better discussed while slurping margaritas at El Taco Loco, as me and the stalwart Shri were doing that distant Thursday.
No matter all is not lost, in honour of Ash's impending descent into our unworthy midst, I'm rousing the rabble for an unprecedented 3 timer at the ol Taqueria @1700 on Thursday
and this time I hope to have a real live Mexican to tend to us.

Same problem, sorry - there is absolutely no way I could get to El Taco Loco before about 18:30. Don't you guys work for a living?

Fear not Sir Paul all is not lost, am working on the logistics of a sojourn to The Railway Tavern in distant Tai Wai in October, where mine host dont care if you turn up after the witching hour

Of course dear boy one works for a living, its just that I dont let the clock decide when it is time to knock off. But there is something about having a pint @1700 on a Thursday that is difficult to put into words.[perhaps gf might have a limerick to insert here]
and a little secret I plan to be 'back at work' @2030.
