Triple O's BC burger is pretty good and there is one in Central. Outside Mix just by Starbucks - its not very obvious but I like the fact they make to order so your food isnt sitting round for ages. There is also the Bagel Factory on Elgin St. They could make so much more of that place but nothing beats a good bagel. I do miss Sushi though. Genki is OK but at home there was a sushi explosion and you couldn't go a block without a great takeaway sushi option with lots of non-fish options and very reasonable prices.

Very bad with directions ...but there was this one place in Soho that had terrific mashed potatoes and gravy. Felt colonised just looking at it. But I wanted to add I adore Mix and isn't there one in Central by hmmm, five or six buidlngs down from Princes Building...?
Close to my area I like this Japanese place that you can send out for lunch, the salmon sahimi mhmmmm, it's on Possession Street which is in SW.
If you want something vaguely Australian themed in between Central and SW there is Cafe O on Queens Rd. I am not completely sold on their food but the upstair's armchairs are good for a quiet meeting

Yes and it surprises people when you tell them that you buy curry and chips in Chinese take-aways.
