Cambodia Recommendations

Hi

Going to Cambodia for about 4-5 nights with my parents - I haven't been - thinking of flying into Phnom Penh staying there for a night and a 1 1/2 days and then onto Siem Reap for about 3 days - thats all the time we have so please don't recommend longer - but any tips - hotel - flight recommendations would be great. Looking to be comfortable but not spend much.

Thanks for your help

Rachel

I highly recommend Bhopa Angkor at about $40 per night in Siem Reap. Great restaurant, swimming pool, nice jungle like compound. My wife and I really liked it. Breakfast was free. Though the rooms looked kind of old and rundown inside, it is clean and the service is great. You can reserve via their website.

Is it Ok for a gal travelling alone over there? I am thinking of grabing a backpack and heading over for ChineseNY, and just staying in some hostels around the place - are there lots of travellers around?.

He was kicked out of Cambodia last year as he was suspected of kiddy fiddling there too. Sick bastard.

Although they don't celebrate xmas in asia they will apparently be hanging glitter in Vietnam this year!

Don't worry. It's really safe. Although I travelled there with another girls two years ago, we didn't go out together. It was really really fun. Try the motorbike...it is so fun and cheap.
