Well im heading to HK next week with my Dad. He will try to get his HK ID back and hopefully get me one as well. Anyone in my situation and have obtained a HK ID card?

Well its much easier if i get a hk id if i work in hk. Lots of places wouldnt sponsor and require a hk id. Besides im Chinese and i do plan to live there in the future.

So why not go for a Chinese Citizenship and a HK Passport then?

I am Canadian. I was born in Canada but my parents were both permanant resident in hk for over 15 years. I dont think i can get a chinese citzenship if im born in Canada
